Left-leaning outlets are pushing

Left-leaning outlets focused on the Trump administration's conduct. They framed the raid on Ilhan Omar as political persecution, ICE agents as violent and unaccountable, and the White House as corrupt and unqualified (the new press secretary, Guilfoyle's ouster, self-pardon talk). They also stressed Musk's money in the midterms, inflation and fuel prices as a burden on Trump, and the Putin diesel deal as a betrayal of Ukraine.

Right-leaning outlets are pushing

Right-leaning outlets framed Democratic candidates as radical and dangerous. They focused on Abdul El-Sayed's alleged Muslim Brotherhood ties and statements about Israel, DSA socialism, and James Talarico's record and evasiveness. They defended the Omar investigation, ICE enforcement and the DOJ suit over California's voter rolls as lawful, and backed the new press secretary against hostile media.

Most contested: The sharpest split was the federal raid on Ilhan Omar's home, which the left covered as a politicised attack and the right as a legitimate fraud and immigration probe with precedent. The two sides also differed on ICE and on how to cover the White House press secretary's debut.

Trump suggesting Iran could hit L.A. is reckless and dangerous

How this works: every week an AI model reads the headlines and summaries from all tracked outlets (sampled evenly so no outlet dominates) and identifies recurring viewpoints. Each narrative must be carried by at least 3 articles from 2 or more outlets, and its side is set by where those articles come from. “Echoes” names whose publicly stated positions a narrative matches; it is not a claim of coordination.
